SWIMMERS already having lessons with The Sussex Swim School will have priority on their places, provided they re-book on time. Re-enrolments are normally sent out 2 weeks prior to the end of term. All places are booked on a first come first served basis. The Sussex Swim School will endeavour to be flexible in its allocation of time slots. However it may not always be possible to book or re-book your first choice. The group that the child is placed in will be at the teacher’s discretion.

All bookings and re-bookings will only be confirmed on receipt of payment. Cheques or BACS payments will be accepted but places are only confirmed once the payment has been cleared. If we do not receive payment by the payment deadline, we will assume you no longer require your space, and it will be cancelled and offered to another child on our waiting list. Please help us to run an efficient swim school by paying us on time.

Refunds for non-attendance will not be given. For private 1:1 lessons we must receive notice of cancellation at least 48 hours in advance, or the fee will still be payable.

Term lengths may vary and prices are based on the number of lessons per term.
In the unusual event of a teacher’s absence The Sussex Swim School will make every effort to provide a replacement teacher. However if this is not possible classes may have to be cancelled in which case we will offer a credit for the following term, or a refund.

The Sussex Swim School hires the pools from the owners of Beedinglee and Great Walstead and is therefore not directly responsible for the pool maintenance. In the unusual event of a pool closure we will offer an alternative date for a catch up lesson. If no alternative is available, we will happily issue a credit against the next term, or a refund for the cancelled lessons will be given.

It is not the responsibility of The Sussex Swim School to look after pupils prior to their arrival on the poolside or once they have left. Parents are responsible for children in the changing area and whilst they are on the premises.

If a parent wishes to speak to the teacher they should make a note in the communications book which is kept on poolside. The teacher will normally contact the parent within 48 hours. The teacher will not be able to answer questions during lessons as this would be disruptive to the class.

The Sussex Swim School adheres to the regulations laid down by the pool letting facility. Please follow any instructions given by the teacher regarding this.
